SNACK Club Filming

Our team includes two cisgender white women who are credentialed registered dietitian nutritionists. We have additional educational training ranging from ongoing master’s degree coursework to a doctoral degree in nutrition. One of us has two young children in a two-parent household. Both have a personal and professional interest in elevating the quality of nutrition and feeding environments of children in Kentucky.

Our work involves partnering with community agencies who serve children and families, some of whom experience food insecurity. We recognize the limitations and value the contributions of our lived and professional experiences. We learn from Family & Consumer Sciences Extension agents and Nutrition Education Program assistants across Kentucky, as they provide a voice for the diverse experiences of families in our state.

As a team, we are committed to using the platform and privilege afforded to us at a land-grant institution to work with diverse communities to promote equitable access to reliable information and nutritious foods that meet the needs of families in Kentucky.
